Edinburgh news - Stadium bans and sunny plans

By Iain Buchanan • Aug 13th, 2008 • Category: news

- A Hibs supporter has been banned from every single stadium in the UK and banned from flying when they have international matches, for the next three years.

- A driver has been killed and his passenger seriously injured after their car collided with a lorry on the A904, which was briefly closed afterwards. Any witnesses should get in touch with the Police.

- Red letter day for the Edinburgh Masonic Lodge, or at least they may have been seeing red after receiving an electricity bill for the awesome amount of £100,000. See what happens when you leave that light on overnight!

- Two developments in the exciting world of solar power! The Royal Commonwealth Pool will include in it’s refurbishment next year showers which are heated entirely by our friend Mister Sun. And the Georgian tenements on Lauriston Place and Keir Street are to be fitted with solar panels for even more green feeling.
